Job Description:
- Maintain Hadoop cluster on AWS/Azure with auto-scaling support
- Maintain windows/linux servers on cloud
- Install java/python packages as needed
- Set-up startup scripts and automation
- Run various QA/production jobs
Additional Information:
- Good understanding and hands on experience with AWS, server setup and configuration, AWS EMR and AWS Lambda, S3, boto3
- Comfortable working with linux shell (no GUI) and linux admin functionalities (installing packages, mounting and setting up disks)
- Comfortable programming in python and linux shell, and ability to quickly understand and modify existing code
- Good understanding and hands on experience with Hadoop, HBase and MySQL. Experience setting up and working with either AWS EMR or Cloudera Express in python and java
- Solr/Neo4j experience a plus
